This is an example of what is happening to the Commercial Bail Industry in Maryland. This guy just got indited and why am I upset? Commissioner 4059 is Madonna Parent, a liberal Bail Commissioner with her own agenda. This guy was released on personal recogniscance, is from out of state and is charged with crimes of violence as well as drug distribution. Is it any wonder why our County is deteriorating as rapidly as it is? Bail is not and should not be a punishment as the defendant is not convicted. However, bail does send a message to the alleged offenders, if the court system takes it seriously, then the defendants should too. This message is the county is a free for all with no repercussions. Scott, if this defendant FTA's, which certainly would be the case, who, if anyone, goes after him and at who's expense? I assume they would pursue him anywhere in the US... and in Maryland, Circuit court is the high court, right, and since it is obviously a felony, LE would pursue?? correct? This really is a travesty of justice... can you explain the agenda that these magistrates have, because I just don't understand their thinking and as for court services, these people are not going to go to those services, so how do they make out on this action? It looks to me like the entire scenario is a looser for everyone... Maryland, bail bondsmen, court system, LE, even court services and certainly the people that this dirt bag comes in contact with while he is running around loose and the only money I see is what will be spent by the state, LE or whomever in trying to apprehend this guy after he skips. Whatever state funds are tossed at court services will be for nil. IMHO |
