I drive an 06' 2 door Honda Civic. It sucks for big fellas', but I'm not too concerned about creature comforts when they have warrants...that and it has a leather interior:).

We normally use pickups (crew cabs). They do tend to stand out a little in north Minneapolis if you don't have the big spinner rims and thumping stereo. We did pick up a big steroid freak in North Dakota and bring him back to Minnesota in a tiny 4 door Audi. He wouldn't fit in the back seat so we had to put him up front with the seat slid all the way back and reclined. His knees were still up on the dash. Then there were two of us crammed in the back. Thank God it was a short drive!

My Ford Sport Trac truck does the job nicely! Blends in well, reliable, lotsa room for gear and guys and I can pick up sacks of potatoes on the way home if my "honey-Do" list calls for it

I love mini vans, they are everywhere, you blend in, used parts are very cheap etc.

Civic Hybrid - Red is right about size, but the mileage can't be beat. And if Barry O has his way, gas prices will go through the roof soon. Being part time, it's best to save every chance I can.

am with Scott M on this one . . . mini vans are perfect. I have been thinking about what it would take to put one up on a re-enforced frame and 4 wheel drive. I really like my van

I'm leaning to getting a CRV. For starters it'll be great for the kids - I have a newborn and my girlfriend has a 4 year old with a lot of energy (my little soldier of fortune). Also, for recovery work, it's spacious, a lot of folk are driving them or these crossovers to small SUVs, and I can store all my kit. Plus the gas mileage...oh lord.
But I have tricked out my Honda, so I will miss it when we part ways. I have a laptop mount and other gadgets. I use the laptop to help locate addresses not in the GPS, use IRB, use other searches, etc., and tell momma' I'm being safe on Facebook!!

Best car I have ever worked out of was a Chevy Astro van fit in everywhere and you could go in the back and pee on long stakeouts. It was great for long transports as well. I have been using SUV's and full size sedan's lately. With the amount of surveillance involved in this business an old cop car is always a bad choice. Driving a CV is like trying to sneak up on someone while wearing corduroy pants.

I sold my VW last week... now I just have my '02 Chevy Duramax Crew-cab and my wife's black Town and Country with the handicap plates and the electric scooter on the back... I use the van and it fits in great... and if I ever have to chase someone... I just drop the scooter on the ground and take off................. I souped it up a bit .... and it will run about 15 mph....
