Dave, I just find it humorous that so many people want so badly to get into this business, haven't done the minutest piece of research, expect to be spoon fed, and when in, will tell you what you are doing wrong. Insurance people are allowing premium writers into this business at an alarming rate with no financial qualifications to do so. I personally have had people ask to be put on under me and when they are told what I would require as a BUF account, they laugh at me.

Times are changing...

Scott

When I first entered this wonderful business... I came on board with a less than favorable contract (40%)... WITH MY OWN SON AS MY BOSS... and he required that I put up $10,000 in cash in a buf account to start out....

MY OWN SON   .... he was a real slave driver.......... although he has since gotten out of the business and I have long ago gone out on my own.... my boy was extremely successful while he did it and I have only bumped along... but I laugh also when I tell prospective agents of the buf requirements... and to date, I am a sole proprietor and wish to remain such... I leave the 'stable' to you big time guys.... to many headaches for this old man.
