In my area of Phoenix, AZ several bail bonds have reported that jails are not accepting people (due to COVID-19) and it seems to have put a full stop on bail recovery business. Bail bonds are still accepting bonds like crazy but on the recovery side I'm not sure what work is out there if any.
I have no idea how long this will last, its been a while since I've called anyone but I have my doubts that anything has changed.
The last person I was in contact with stopped responding to my texts a while back and I think its because he is just tired of telling me the same thing every few weeks.
I was so close to getting into this industry and COVID-19 ripped it out from under me, its disappointing.
How is it in other areas?

Sorry for the long waited reponse...
Here in South Florida .. there was ZERO interruptions at the jail with doing Surrenders.
The Jails I normally deal with took anyone we arrested/surrendered with no issues.
