Well, my little generator is sittin' outside the 'plug in room' with 10 extra gallons of gas... and the propane tanks are full... including one that feeds my log fireplace in the bedroom and the one that feeds the garage and one extra for the grill... sure hope this thing heads a bit further north before turning west.

Prepare for the worst and hope/pray for the best.

Best of luck to all in the path!

We lost current for 5 days a few years ago.... Gail's 82 year old mother, God rest her soul, was up every morning at 6am.... with an iron skillet, cooking breakfast on a kerosun heater... like nothing was wrong. We have grown soft in our technology age.... sort of gives a new spin to the TV series.... "Revolution"... 8)

It is raining and blowing outside already fllooding
Bill Williams might get some snow out of this, Yak and Dave Perez might get the worst of it. Can you imagine 40' waves?

I have been on duty since 0900 today running the emergency dispatch command center at my fire station and most likely will be here well into tomorrow.
My oldest son is on our marine rescue team and my nephew is assigned to one of our fire trucks. Tough thing is I am the one who will be sending them out into harm's way.
It is going to be a long 24-48 hours.

To everyone please be as safe as possible, this storm is twice the size of Irene and much more dangerous.
