What is your opinion of the best way to get your name out there? Just starting out funds are really tight. Flyers on mailboxes, cards on car windows, etc...?

O.K. "Production" -Very Cool. I would definitely recommend that you produce flyers and business cards; however, I would suggest that you avoid people's mail boxes, as that can lead to problems. Hit up the parking lots of local businesses instead. Put your flyers and business cards underneath the driver side windshield wiper. Hit up places like Walmart, Target, Home Depot, and Lowe's. You might also consider targeting the local movie theater. While you're at it, go to the local office supply store and pick up some business card holders. Take them to the local smoke shops, pawn shops, and tattoo parlors. Ask the proprietor if you can leave some of your business cards in a business card holder on their front counter. Offer to do the same thing for them at your business. You could even start a small business "co-op." I remember seeing a unique display posted on the wall at a local print shop that had multiple slots for holding business cards. It was posted up on their wall right next to the front door. Many business owners left their business cards in their own slot on that display. Most importantly, be creative and think outside of the box.

... Jason gave you some great ideas... of course you could do what all the "snake in the grass" bondsmen in my AO seem to do............ hang out at the jail... or the courthouse.... and hand out cards and approach people coming in and out of the locations... and then, when you get locked up for "illegal soliciting" you can use a local bondsman to bail you out... and that should really get your name out there..... 8) 8) 8)

You do know of course that I am being "flip".... just do a few of the things Jason mentioned....

I will say that you can legally sit in court and simply observe... you can wear an official name tag as long as it conforms to your states regulation... if any... and you can learn a lot and your face will get to be known... and if you dress properly and act professionally... that can go a long way toward putting you in front of the folks you need to work with.

Nothing works better than face to face meetings!!
