I want to thank Tom for inviting me to the Orange County Bail Agents meeting yesterday. It was worth the drive to SoCal, despite the famous traffic!

Tom did an excellent job in explaining the origins of NABBI and also answered some bail related questions.

I was able to meet a few fellow bail agent friends that I worked with on the state bail association and to speak about our goals at NABBI.

We were well received and promised support in membership and also the OC agents will look to NABBI members when they need help across the country with any skips.

They are supportive of our efforts to set minimum training and educational standards for bail recovery.

Today, I was at another meeting in San Mateo County (south of San Francisco). The County Sheriff is a big supporter of bail and the guest speaker is a Special ops Investigator for the Orange County S.O.

He is the OC SD bail expert and also a big supporter of bail. BTW, his name is Bob Taft. If anyone in OC has a bail related issue contact him @714-647-1821.

I was able to mention NABBI and and will get more opportunities in the future with the new contacts I made today.

So please give me a day to get back to NABBI work and I will give everyone an update on membership.

It was good to see you again Tony! Glad we could take care of some other business while you were here!

Last Sunday, I took my re-certify firearms in Richmond. There were 7 other bondsmen and recovery agents in the class and I made a point to bring up NABBI to all. The info was well received and I noticed that most wrote down the info and hopefully will become involved. The recovery agents were particularly interested and there may be one or two that actually make the Philly meet.

I am also signed up for my PI certification sometime in August, so hopefully I can put NABBI on the table in that class. Everyone is positive about the organization, whether they stay serious is of course another matter. WE shall see.

I make it a point to talk NABBi with about everyone that is the least bit involved in our business. I will continue to try and motivate members of DCJS to attend the conference in September.

On Thursday I got a call from an agent, "Nick" from the LA area. He is interested in creating bail recovery classes for use by the CBAA.

So, we talked about the CA PC 1299 coming back hopefully and other CA specific stuff.

I was able to plug NABBI. He was so excited about NABBI and plans to send a couple of agents to Philly and of course join NABBI as well.

I can't remember all his firearms, baton, oc, etc certifications. He is also ex LEO. So, he would be a great addition to NABBI.

I also asked him to check in here on FRN.

Hopefully you will all get a chance to "meet" him shortly.
