Vinelink is nationwide but often not complete.
Virginia counties, particularly the smaller, rural ones... get a bit lax on entering data in the NCIC or VCIC... (National and state)
Sometimes the dispatchers will give up some info late at nite but often times not.... as mentioned, it just depends.... my local county most of the time will cooperate with me but is really just depends on who is on duty... and it also depends if the perp is a local county guy or not. You are also right about felonies vs. misdemeanors as to whether it is in NCIC or VCIC...
Can I say this again....... "The rule of thumb is... there is no rule of thumb".
