Hey GB,

The first response to BEA was to check with his State laws. That was dead on. If he has a computer, which he does and has access to the net, which he does, then he has all he needs to find the answer to his own question.

As some one stated, recovery work requires investigating. So investigate before asking for help.

Most of the rest of the responses were just having fun. No egos, just good old American humor. Or at least attempts at it.

Bash Bash Bash

Why would you need lights? You can't pull anyone over, you can't make a traffic stop, you don't serve warrants (you present individuals for warrant service) Teach me, what am I missing?

Green Beret, you present yourself well, it is the position you take that I have a problem with. We are in the business of mitigating liability, not creating it.

Even if, by chance, you might be allowed to have lights in your vehicle, regardless of color, why would you need them?

I am climbing back under my rock...

Scott

The rest of that saying goes. . . and roll it back into my cave . . . .
So when someone asks. . . "where the hell you been" one can always say
"Buddy, I've been living under a rock in a cave" . . .

GB I tried what you told me (with little man) and I obviously did not hold my mouth right - cuz it did not work. :? Will try it again later

I dont ever recall a situation where I would want or need strobe lights or bubble gum machines on top of my car in this business. Not for recovery work.

Also, GB, with all due respect, I dont know where you are but I dont know why recoveries would have to be done any differently there to keep from getting "whiped" than anywhere else. I have been to many places and a good chance your city as well. I havent seen the difference.

Probably the roughest place I have been, or felt like it was the roughest was New Orleans this summer. It was in a bad area, and with all the hurricane related problems ongoing, it was kinda spooky. Pretty lawless. Maybe it wasnt as bad as I thought, but I sure had that gut feeling and I dont get it often.

St Louis has some pretty scary areas as well. I wasnt all that surprised to learn it was voted most dangerous city last year.

Andy
